After your ride you will enjoy a catered meal with bottled water, beer and soft drinks available.

You can preview the routes on our Ride With GPS event page, which includes cue sheets and route elevation profiles. You may also download PDF versions of the Route Map (includes all routes), Cue Sheets, and Time Estimates, which shows your estimated arrival time at each rest stop, based on various average cycling speeds.

While the century is designed to be an enjoyable experience, the event is held on public roads open to other vehicles. Riders should expect to encounter motorists and be prepared for road hazards. Participants should operate their bicycles in a safe and lawful manner and obey traffic laws throughout the ride. The CCC requires the use of ANSI or Snell approved helmets for all club rides including the century. Everyone is encouraged to ride with a partner; children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

The registration fee for the Crescent City Century is $40. The century fee includes SAG support, restroom facilities at the start and at each rest stop, maps, road surface markings, and lunch with beer and soda following the ride.

Riders who pre-register by September 12th will pay a discounted price of $30 for CCC Members or $35 for non-members. This discount is valid for pre-registration only. All registrants will pay $40 after September 13th. Non-members may join CCC and save $5 on their century fee by submitting a membership application and dues ($20/yr individual, $30/yr family) along with their century pre-registration. If you join now, your membership will expire on December 31, 2016.

You can register online using a credit or debit card or your PayPal account. Or download the registration form, fill it out and mail it in with a check.

This is a “rain or shine” event; not much short of a hurricane bearing down on us will force a postponement. If the unthinkable should happen be sure to check this website for century rescheduling information. If you have any questions, e-mail century@CrescentCityCyclists.org.

The fun and social way to exercise!

Getting Ready for a Ride

Taking a Coffee Break

We sponsor two types of weekly rides. Our City Rides are easy going and social, not races (only about 8 – 10 mph). They are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 AM, and usually run about 3 hours, including a mid-ride coffee break. They start in City Park, in front of the museum. We always wear our yellow vests on City Rides. Come ride with us, and afterward, if you decide to join our club ($20) you get a FREE vest.

Our Country Rides take place on Saturday or Sunday, usually in the area north of Lake Pontchartrain. While the whole group starts out together, typically we separate into smaller groups, each riding at their own preferred pace. There are usually multiple route options and distances to choose from and detailed maps are always provided. Often riders will regroup and socialize at a convenience store along the route. The ride leader makes sure that everyone signs in on the ride log sheet at the beginning of the ride, and signs out at the end. The ride leader will not leave after the ride until all riders are accounted for, and will backtrack the route to look for anyone who does not return within a reasonable time and offer assistance if necessary. Please check the Calendar for upcoming country rides.

Bring your helmet (a must!) and join us on either a City Ride or a Country Ride. You will make new friends and enjoy yourself. Below is a picture of some of our members who got together with a Minnesota Bike Club that visited New Orleans. We all rode together and had a great time. Ride with us and have some fun!!!
